Dorian Lafargue is a creative force born in Montpellier and now based in Paris. A former student of fashion and image studies, Dorian quickly merged his passion for editorial design and layout with his love for photography. Starting with vintage film cameras, he soon found himself frustrated by their limitations and shifted towards digital, where he could bring his dramatic, larger-than-life style to life—transforming fashion campaigns and editorials with a bold and cinematic approach.

Dorian’s creativity knows no bounds. He’s worked with a variety of brands from Los Angeles and collaborated with a wide range of underground musicians in Paris, all through his creative direction agency built with his best friend, Luca Madar. Today, Dorian Lafargue operates in the world of fashion, blending beauty and editorial aesthetics under the MDMA agency banner, where he continues to shape the future of visual storytelling.

Born in Montpellier, Dorian Lafargue quickly developed a unique vision of imagery. After studying fashion with a focus on editing and imagery in the south of France, he moved to Paris at an early age, initially pursuing styling. It was his encounter with Fabrice Brovelli that marked a turning point in his career: he turned to photography, first capturing the raw energy of underground Parisian concerts, then documenting the secretive parties and nights of the city.

Gradually, his perspective sharpened and shifted towards fashion. He worked independently before cofounding MDMA, an agency with Luca Madar, offering editorial work, image consulting for fashion houses, and campaign creation. Known for its discreet yet impactful presence, MDMA disrupts the fashion world by blending mainstream aesthetics with underground influences, challenging the status quo and offering a radical, contemporary take on style and visual narratives.

A key figure in the underground Parisian nightlife, Dorian Lafargue maintains a rare humility when it comes to his work. He aims to deconstruct the often elitist vision of fashion, traditionally associated with a "champagne issues" ideal. His approach, more rooted in social realities, is especially evident through his collaborations with Nour Tournier, founder of the media agency Saints la Nuit.

After founding MDMA, Dorian crossed paths with Damien Krisl, a photographer and director whose influence broadened his understanding of beauty, fashion, and contemporary photography. Damien's mentorship helped Dorian refine his visual language, pushing him to explore new perspectives and challenge conventional ideas of what beauty in fashion can be.

His work, marked by a tension between spontaneity and precise composition, draws inspiration from major fashion photographers like Steven Meisel, Glen Luchford, and Mario Sorrenti. Through his images, Dorian Lafargue introduces a new narrative to fashion, where authenticity and sophistication coexist, and where the underground intersects with luxury in an undeniably captivating way.
